Whitehall + Brucke have combined their photography to create a worldscape where humans are the encroachers upon animal habitats and lands. The behaviours and actions of the human animal resembles the inherent qualities of what western science calls an 'invasive species'.

The animals represented here are either critically endangered, or surviving in captivity where they are enrolled in breeding programs as a conservation measure. In the case of jellyfish, their numbers have been steadily proliferating for the past twenty years. This is a result of the overfishing of their natural predators like swordfish and salmon, as well as their phenomenal adaptability to live in less oxygenated and more polluted waters.
