The 'Virginia Opossum' is a nocturnal marsupial living in the shadows of Toronto neighbourhoods and is one of the oldest mammals – dating back to the time of the dinosaurs. They consume approximately 5,000 ticks per season, thereby slowing the spread of the deadly Lyme disease.
